Seismic engineering (or ‘earthquake engineering’) is the field that deals with strengthening buildings and making them more resistant to earthquakes, seismic shifts, and other similar incidents. Earthquakes are massively damaging events that can cause loss of both life and property, making it of utmost importance to have seismic engineers involved in your building’s construction.

BVT is also able to undertake specific services, including:
Balustrades
Design assessment.
PS1 Design and PS4 Construction Review for various steel, aluminium and glass balustrading.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) where required.
Compliance with NZ Building Code.
Ceilings
PS1 Design and PS4 Construction Review for suspended ceilings (including grid and tile, plasterboard and feature ceilings).
Experienced in NZS 1170.5.
Compliance with NZ Building Code.
