Dreamtime Kullilla-Art is an Aboriginal Art Gallery in Clontarf, near Brisbane.  As a highly reputable Indigenous art store, all products are sourced from authentic First Nations’ artists, who receive commissions for their work.  Renound Artist in Residence Michael Connolly both creates and curates pieces for the gallery and also provides bespoke commissions.

We curate 100% authentic works by indigenous artists and designers and ensure that all items are produced ethically and subject to royalty payments.  We believe in empowerment, not exploitation.

The Process

• Sit with Michael Connolly, our Artist in Residence (See Michael’s Work)

• Michael will ask you about “your story” 

• Michael will translate your story into the traditional symbolism passed down through the (region/people - Michael is painting style regional or tribal?) and present you with a “mud map” 

• Watch the artist at work as he sketches your story and plans your custom art piece

• Choose colours and size to match your décor 

• Michael will get to work creating your story, in his language so you can hang a truly personal and meaningful piece in your home.
