Step 5:
Cover the gum which you have applied- To protect the sealing which you have applied on the leakage you are advised to cover it with the sticky tape or some plastic material so that it doesn't get damaged due to unfavorable weather conditions and may last for a long time.
Step 6:
Open the water supply- Open the water supply for a few minutes so that the gum which you applied on the leakage may dry up and become hard enough so that it doesn't get removed easily.
Alternatives of Step 3 & 4.
By using small clamps- These are special leakage resistance materials easily available for all sizes of pipes in hardware stores. All you need to do is cover your leakage with this clamp and tighten it with the screw and bolt. So, It will not leave any space for water which will reduce the chance of leakages.
By using slip coupling- Slip couple is a small metal connector which you can use to connect two pipes. This is one of the best alternatives to fix your leakage if it is long in size. It is easily available in hardware stores which you can use and cover your leakage.
