2. ENSURE IT’S SEALED
While the cut needs to be perfect, even more important is that the finished seal is perfect too – which requires patience and plenty of time to let it dry. Lose your patience, and the first time you turn the tap on to wash a sink of dishes could reveal a leak that needs to be fixed.
3. PLUMBING A SINK!
Now comes the really tricky bit – connecting up all that plumbing piping. This is where the skill and experience of the licensed plumber are really demonstrated, as the various pipes and connectors are not exactly standard across all homes and premises – and obviously, the integrity of those connections with the mains plumbing needs to be 100%.

Once you’re confident to proceed from #3, both ends of the pipe need to be fitted at the same time – which will ensure a precise, leak-free join that won’t cause you grief a week or a month from now. When you’re done and you’re ready to test it, turn the water on slowly and keep an eagle-eye out for the merest sign of a leak.
